Roy Campanella had starred in the Negro Leagues prior to joining the World Champion Brooklyn Dodgers and becoming one of the game's greatest catchers. A tragic accident rendered him paralyzed, cutting short his great career; this autobiography tells the story of his attempt to recover. This is a Fine copy of the First Edition, Gray cloth binfing; publisher logo in red on front cover; spine lettering in red and black. Clean text; 306 pages. The dustjacket is Very Good; it is unclipped (although the publisher blacked out the original price and raised it a bit), showing some light edge-wear and moderate surface soiling.
