Hardcover. Zustand: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. In all a decent, fairly presentable copy with no inscriptions. Clean pages throughout the book, albeit with mild to moderate occasional foxing, more especially to the end papers. The boards are mostly clean and bright navy blue cloth with clear title lettering to the spine and motif to the front board in gilt. That said it looks as though the spine may have been, basically, stuck back on at some point in the book's history. The hinges are therefore cracking along the length of the spine front and back. Furthermore there is a little knocking at the extremities. All the diagrams/maps, within and slipped in the rear wallet, and plates have been collated and are all present, intact and in very good clean condition, apart from that facing page 48 which is present but detached and creased around the edges, as well as having a few tears along its folds and a penned inscription indicating what it is and the required position within the book.
