The very scarce Canadian edition of The Grapes of Wrath, issued at the same time as the Viking US edition and therefore also a first edition. I rarely see one of these, especially a true first printing- most of the MaMillan copies I see are second printing before publication. This copy is tight, square, and clean. There is darkening to the groove on the front board and a light stain in the upper right corner. Light wear overall. It comes with a new professionally printed facsimile dust jacket. This is a facsimile of the correct dust jacket, with Viking blacked out on the spine and MacMillan printed over it. The front flap has the Viking name and address at the bottom blacked out also.
