Graham Green , wrote this book just after the war,the background of the story is drawn from the part of West Africa which he had personal experience .but he wanted to make clear that nobody past or present of that particular colony appears in the book. 12mo, pP[6], 297 [1] First Edition original blue cloth boards bottom corner bumped on front. title in silver lettering on spine.Browning to front and rear paste down and free end papers. Front free has previous owners signature and date . Fore edge is foxed , Dust Jacket has been repaired and has a certain amount of shelf wear .But on the whole the book is good.
