TRUE FIRST Edition, FIRST Printing: A lovely copy of the True Scarce First Printing which was printed in Japan by World Publishing and includes the full number line down to the 1 (the later printings were printed in the United States, and do not have the complete number line down to 1), and with the A3450 code on rear board. The Very Hungry Caterpillar was Carle?s break through/landmark book and one of the most read children?s books of all time. A lovely example of this title, in the original boards in good condition, lacking the dust jacket. Boards lightly toned with slight soiling, and a few faint surface scratches. The boards have no edgewear and the book is tightly bound. The internal pages have no names, no inscriptions and no bookstore stamps. The internal pages have some intermittent lightly scattered handling marks and/or faint pale stains, but are overall clean. A few smaller than dime size areas of white-out which are quite hard to spot and do not even show in the images. (please see images). An incredibly scarce book at a great price for this title.
