Brown cloth boards with paper title label to front. Light wear to edges of boards and corners bumped; general rubbing and smudging. Binding is sound. Previous owner's gift inscription to front free endpaper. Panorama photograph previously torn along fold with neat repair along same. Overall Very Good. Somewhat humorous account of the Twentieth Company, which was still in training when the Germans surrendered and thus was never deployed. Scarce in retail and not found in OCLC. Hardcover. Zustand: Good. Original issue. Khaki cloth, paste-down title label on front board, 6x9 inches, 61 pp, illustrated with black and white drawings and photographs, including panorama group fold-out, roster. Hardcover, good, no dustjacket. Corners bumped with a bit of cardboard exposed there, three faint red drop marks on front board, spine tanned, approximately 1/4 inch fraying and chipping at head and foot. Internally paper lightly age yellowed, front hinge cracked, "Co. 20 #2" written on paste-down front endpaper (presumably Company 20, 2nd Platoon) , initials "WEG" with arrow pointing to him on fold-out, side portion of fold-out detached (laid-in) , a few stray smudges, otherwise tight, clean, relatively crisp and unmarked. Somewhat tongue in cheek history of the company which was in the midst of training when World War I ended, and thus was never deployed. Rare, no copies on OCLC.
