Sellers, author of 'With Our Fighting Men' (1915), which was a similar work of heroism and patriotism, presenting the faith, bravery and determination of British soldiers during the First World War. 'With Our Heroes in Khaki' was a follow-up to 'With Our Fighting Men', highlighting the Christian work undertaken with soldiers and sailors, as well as showing some of the results. Seller's presents chapters on Christian men in the ranks, receiving Holy Communion at the front, the morale in the trenches, as well as the support that faith brought to the front line.Illustrated with a folding frontispiece of 'An Impromptu Sunday Service on the Western Front'. Collated, complete. Bound in the publisher's original cloth. Externally, excellent, with a touch of bumping to the head and tail of the spine, and the occasional light mark.
