A comprehensive mid-19th century guide for horse keepers with sections on buying. breeding breaking, feeding, riding, grooming, caring for, etc. Prior to his death in 1858, 'Frank Forester' had written the first 13 chapters of this practical guide to good horsekeeping; the remaining 11 were completed from his notes.
