The book is full of information on European methods, techniques for examination, how to deal with suspicions about malingering and feigning conditions for obtaining pensions, how to avoid enlisting intemperate, indolent, if not the vicious . . . from an inferior class of men . . . Some overall cover wear and some waviness probably from old damp stain, endpapers browned at the corners from original binding glue beneath, damp stain on the first Ad pages, contents bright.
