Contents include: early history, Indians and treaties, explorers, fur traders, emigration and overland trails, pioneer days, discovery of gold, mining, territory history, old forts, railroads, agriculture and timber, Indian troubles, military, cities and towns, religion and fraternal societies, and more. Hardcovers, with many full page photographic illustrations and portraits. Vol 1 - 895 pages; Vol 2 - 1008 pages; Vol 3 - 908 pages. Good condition: Covers show wear and signs of use, Vol III is missing the front endpaper, Vol 2 light brown circular stain to cover (see photos). Scarce set.
