The broadcasts done by Radcliffe Hall and were centered around the historical events and people of Troy, NY. The inaugural broadcast considered the early settlement and early founder Kilian Van Rensselaer. Unpaginated, portrait photo of Hall lose. Illustrated with small black and white photos or drawings of significant buildings of the city. Gray marbled paper wrap, separated from text block, binding shaken, blue end-papers, spotting on top edge. WGY the flagship station of General Electric, it is one of the oldest radio stations in the US, and is the oldest in New York's Capital Region. The station signed on in 1922 from Schenectady, NY and soon lead the way in broadcasting radio drama introducing the wonderful sound effects we have grown to enjoy.
