Collated, complete. An account of the history of the Merton Abbey Tapestry Works, leased by William Morris' design firm Morris & Co. from 1881 to 1940. This work, written by the journalist and art historian Henry Currie Marillier (1865-1951), also offers a chronological list of the Merton Abbey tapestries, until 1927. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart, with spotting to the boards and spine. Internally, firmly bound.
