Volumes I to IV of the English translation from the original Low-Dutch printed by T. Wood for Timothy Childe (volume 1) and John Nicks (volumes 2 to 4), at the White-Hart, at the West-End of St. Paul's Churchyard. Volume 1 was published in 1720, volume 2 in 1721, volume 3 in 1722 and volume 4 in 1723. Each volume is fully bound in leather and have red title panels on the spine with gilt lettering. The panel on volume 2 has been worn off however. The leather has some surface wear and edge rubbing on each volume. Volume 1 has a half-inch piece missing at the base of the spine. Volume 2 has a half-inch strip missing at the top of the spine and three inches of tearing down the edge of the front panel with some surface loss and a little loss at the base of the spine. Volume 3 has a one and a half-inch crack at the top of the spine next to the front panel. Each volume has some browning around the edges of the endpapers and some page browning but the pages are generally clean and unmarked. Volume 3 has some damage to the endpapers - the front pastedown is a little ragged at the edges and is lifting from the boards and the rear pastedown has two inches missing from the right hand edge and is also lifting from the boards with the hinges slightly exposed.
