British photographer Don McCullin, one of the best photojournalists of his generation, went home in the hopes discovering who he was and where he came from. This volume of images of Britain and the English people was the result. Profusely illustrated with full page B/W Photographs throughout and a biographical essay by Don McCullin. The author's scarce second title. Sir Donald McCullin, CBE, Hon FRPS is a British photojournalist, particularly recognised for his war photography and images of urban strife. His career, which began in 1959, has specialised in examining the underside of society, and his photographs have depicted the unemployed, downtrodden and the impoverished. There was a major and highly acclaimed Tate Britain retrospective exhibition of his work in 2019. An important monograph covering the work of photo journalist and social documentarian Don McCullin.
