This VG- book is a first format, as per Mattson & Davis (buff cloth with gold lettering; pictorial front & spine emblem relevant to that book s sport, in three colors, one of which is red or brown, different for each title; plain end pages; frontis + 5). It has a slight lean, moderate general soiling, 2 fingernail-sized spots of white paint on the rear board, lightly bumped head and heel of the spine, with no fabric damage. The front panel illustration and the gold lettering are undamaged though they are somewhat soiled (see photo). The interior has an xed-out name on the front paste down (dated 1912) and an inked name on the FFEP--the book is otherwise free of writing, stray marks and page damage; there are several pages with finger print type stains, but they do not affect the text. Hinges are strong, frontis + 5 is intact, and the lightly toned paper is quite flexible. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers BMR-2019-7-17-2
