London, August, 26 1913'. Some of the cloth dye has transferred to the front and rear endpapers, and the bottom edge of the text block. In the publisher's original red cloth binding. Externally, sound. Rather rubbed and marked to the boards and the spine. With a tear in the cloth at the front joint and the rear joint. Bumped to the head and tail of the spine with a little fraying to the cloth. The rear hinge is tender and has nearly failed. Internally, generally firmly bound. The gutter is visible between pages xii and 1. The previous owner has ticked off the problems they have completed, but aside from this pages are a little ate-toned but generally clean. Good.
