First Edition ("Copyright 1933") This is the correct first edition in the first issue cerise cloth, according to the bibliography, with: "Copyright 1933" and "Printed in Great Britain" at the bottom of the copyright page. Uncommon in the original art deco dust jacket featuring a luminous green hound standing over a graveyard and a ruined church in the background which creates a very eerie scene. Very good in finely woven cerise cloth stamped in faded gilt on the spine. There is a number of small spots where the color has leached out on the front and rear panels. All top, fore- and bottom edges have scattered foxing. The jacket is very good minus with uniform soiling to the rear panel and small chips at the top and bottom edges of the spine. With few closed tears at the top front panel. A scarce book in dust jacket and a presentable copy. First Edition ("Copyright 1933") Correct first edition statement. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 2944
