1951. First edition. 212pp. Edward Westby Nunn (1901-1963) was a writer, probably best known for his Secretarial Handbook that underwent many editions. This book is the story of the occupants of a house in Germany shortly after the end of the war. The characters make up a cross-section of German and British life. The book is bound in the original red boards with black titling on the spine. The case of the book is in excellent condition and the contents are tight and clean with some browning to the endpapers. A name has been written on the front fixed endpaper. The unclipped dustwrapper (illustration by 'Sax') is very good with light shelf wear and light soiling and light bumping to the top of the spine and top corners.
