Artikelbeschreibung vom Verkäufer

Rare title, Human Inheritable Genetic Modifications (Assessing Scientific, Ethical, Religious, and Policy Issues) by Mark Frankel and Audrey Chapman, in Good condition. The covers show some surface wear (superficial) and a creased upper corner on the rear cover. The staple-binding is firm. An organization stamp is neatly marked out on the Contents page. The interior pages are clean and unmarked. This report evaluates the scientific feasibility of inheritable genetic modifications (IGM) in humans and examines the ethical, religious, and social considerations surrounding the technology. The working group concludes that IGM is currently unsafe and unreliable due to the inefficiency of existing gene transfer methods, which add DNA rather than accurately correcting genetic mutations. Safe and effective gene correction or replacement techniques must be developed before IGM can be considered for human application. The report emphasizes the need for widespread public education and discussion to gauge societal perspectives and ensure informed decision-making. It also calls for an open, inclusive approach to ethical and cultural concerns and encourages international collaboration on the issue. The book will be carefully packaged for shipment for protection from the elements using bubble wrap and cardboard. A USPS electronic tracking number will be issued free of charge. Feel free to contact us for more information or pictures regarding the book.

Shop-Beschreibung

Alien Bindings is an online bookshop located in Baltimore that has been in operation for nearly 20 years. Alien Bindings caters to the sciences including the physical sciences, astronomy, mathematics, computer science, the social sciences and medicine. I also dabble in a wide array of other categories including antiquarian books and history. I run a clean, green business. I try to reuse clean materials for packaging whenever possible. For example, books are carefully packaged frequently using clean cardboard for custom made boxes, recycled paper is used for printed labels and recycled plastic or bubble wrap is used for a weather-proof barrier. I drop the packages off to my local post office via foot or cycle in order to further reduce the carbon footprint.
