Hunter Clarkson of Couriercars and Fred Harvey were known for pioneering the art of commercial cultural tourism. "Indian Detours" were meant to provide an authentic Native American experience by having actors stage a certain lifestyle in the desert in order to sell tickets to unwitting tourists. Dated May 1935. CONDITION Stapled pamphlet, folds lengthwise and opens with 2 column layout with paginanation to each column, pp 48 but in reality is 24 full size pages, photographic illus with headings and details in Orange, 2 full page maps and one half apge one.
