Very Good+ condition, with full bound dark red cloth boards and gilt lettering to front and spine. Previous owner's name in ink to front free endpaper, and same owner's small bookplate to inside of front cover. No other markings of any kind. Binding is solid and square. An Indian story of Bedford County, Pennsylvania. Eve Earnest and several of her children were captured by Indians in 1777 and taken to Detroit. Nine years later they found their way back to their home near Port Bedford, PA. This is her story, and also a genealogy of her descendants in Bedford County.
