First edition after the limited edition, in two volumes bound in 3/4 burgundy morocco over marbled covered boards, raised bands with compartments lettered and decorated in gilt, lightly rubbed boards and edges, light scattered foxing to end sheets, a very nice set with minor split to rear board at foot of spine.[see Wolff-6300] "After the limited edition, publisher Macmillian thought it was the work of a genius and published in two volumes in 1881 and sold over 80,000 copies.".
