The scarce first edition of this Yorkshire set novel from J. Keighley Snowden, in the bright publisher's original unclipped dust wrapper.Keighley Snowden's novel tells the story of Jack Sincler, or 'King Jack', and is based upon the life of the Yorkshire outlaw and poacher, and described by the publisher as 'more picturesque and closely autobiographical than is usual in current fiction'.An excellent copy of a scarce novel from a largely forgotten but prolific author and journalist, who published works of fiction - largely concerned with, or set in, Yorshire - between 1893 and 1937. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with illustrated unclipped dust wrapper. Shelf wear to back strip head, with areas of light fading to rear board. Spotting to fore edge of text block.
