Previous owner's name has been blacked out inside front and rear covers. Another previous owner's name has been written inside front cover and on rear of title page (Lt. G R Nunn SEATIC). Otherwise clean and tidy, and firm, throughout. This is a copy of the 1939 first edition 'Lithographed in the U.S.A. Edwards Brothers Inc. Ann Arbor, Michigan, 1942. SEATIC refers to Southeast Asia Translation and Interrogation Center (New Delhi, India), set up to interrogate Japanese prisoners of war and translate captured Japanese documents, during the Second World War.
