375pp. Maroon quarter bound leather spine and corners with marbled paper covered boards. Gilt lettering and banding to spine. Wear to top and tail of spine and to lower board edges. Split to leather at top rear hinge. Shelf wear to corners. Pencil marks (previous owner's initials?) to front end papers. Poorly trimmed fore edge on p234 . I am a former librarian and read for pleasure - as many booksellers do! I take great care of my books while they are staying at Beech Cottage and would only ask my customers that they do likewise.
