First Faber edition (with a new introduction by the author), first impression. Near Fine: tight and square binding in sharp rust-coloured cloth; bright gilt; a little rubbing to the heel of the spine; faint and sporadic spotting to the edge of the page block; a trace of spotting to the ffep, else crisp and clean. The unclipped dustwrapper (21s net stated) is Very Good: bright and crisp; toning and a touch of sunning to the spine, but still pink; faint stain to the bottom quarter of the flap folds and spine; toning to the flap folds and top-edge; a little wrinkling to the head of the spine; smoothed vertical crease to the front flap; presented in a removable, archival-quality Brodart protective cover.
