The book has some fading to spine and spine lettering, some light faint spots on covers, rubbed corner tips and spine ends, small 1cm pen scribble (over old price?) in upper corner of blank FFEP otherwise no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, solid binding, complete with all pages and plates, no foxing, crease mark to corner of illustration plate opposite page 284 (in margin, not into image), crease mark to upper corner margin of frontispiece (not creased in image).
