A UNIQUE copy of this German language work on the art of Georgia in that it was presented to the noted W. Horsley Gantt, the American physiologist and psychologist who, at the time of his death in 1980, was one of only two surviving students of the Russian physiologist Ivan Pavlov. Presented to Gantt on his 80th birthday in 1973 with a tipped in and a handwritten note on Gantt on the front endpapers (unable to clearly determine the authors, which look to be Margot & Lothar Rickenhauser with ? of that spelling); on the rear endpapers are a posted printed postcard to Gantt from Ivan T. Kurtsin of the I. P. Pavlov Institute of Physiology in Leningrad; a posted handwritten hologram postcard to Gantt from Erik Jacobsen; and a tipped in picture and handwritten note from Prof. Mikhail Mikhailovich Khananashvili of the Institute Experimental Medicine Pavlov in Leningrad, along with his business care with an inked note on that as well.
