First U. S. edition hardcover, bound in tan cloth, with black lettering on front cover, and black lettering and black and gray decoration on spine, is in GOOD condition, having some foxing and moderate rubbing and wear to covers; evidence of very light stain at bottom left of front cover; some age-darkening to interior endpapers and pages; very old former bookseller's unfortunate pricing with ball-point pen at top right for first fixed endpaper. Dust jacket, enclosed in protective mylar (mylar not pictured), is in FAIR condition, having been price-clipped, and with some missing pieces at top and bottom spine and at folds; former owner attempted to make some repairs to tears on reverse of jacket with magic tape; stain at lower left of front jacket, and entire jacket has some rubbing/scuffing/staining to surface.
