Demi basane de l'époque, dos lisse portant le titre doré. Un volume in-12 de texte (172x112 mm), frontispice, xii-359-(15) pages et un volume in-8 d'atlas (207x143 mm), 7 planches. Quelques rousseurs. Édition originale peu courante. Cet ouvrage détaille le fonctionnement des microscopes simple, composé, solaire, à gaz, et électrique, puis les différentes applications possibles à la botanique, la physiologie, la pathologie et la chimie. Dans un dernier chapitre, il est question des intruments d'optique appliqués à la médecine et la chirurgie. This book deals with five different types of microscopes (simple, composite, solar, gas, and electrical), and the various applications in botany, physiology, pathology and chemistry. The last chapter deals with optical instruments applied to medicine and surgery. The atlas consists in 301 figures, in black and white, from observations made under the microscope. 667g.
