As far as I can tell, this is the first published report on the German expeditions of 1929 and 1931 to climb Kangchenjunga in the Himalayas. A translated report was published in 1935. I don't read French well enough to say whether the other volume is just a translation, and I don't have a copy of the other volume to hand to check whether the pictures in the other volume are the same or different. Pictures and maps are pretty cool! This copy is in excellent condition; the spine is slightly browned and stained. Some pages show a lot of browning,w here others are quite bright.
