Written as the author was travelling through Britain, France, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Austria, and Germany, from 1869 to 1885. Volume I illustrated with a frontispiece, and sixty-one plates, four of which are in colour. Collated, complete. Volume II illustrated with a colour frontispiece, and fifty-six plates, three of which are in colour. Collated, complete. Charlotte Schreiber, also known as Charlotte Guest, was an English aristocrat, best known for being the first publisher in modern print format of 'The Mabinogion'.
