First U.S. edition of the second Inspector Morse mystery and the scarcest of all Dexter's titles. Apperently retired form a library but without any stamping and with the removed pocket residue on an inserted last leaf; narrow tape damage to the covers. In unfaded dust jacket without evidence of a sticker, bumped about the corners and edges. All in all, a very acceptable "filler" copy of a very expensive, highly sought book.
