Publisher's finely woven beige cloth, the upper board stamped in gilt, the spine black and gilt, the top edge stained pink; in the correct illustrated dust jacket with the price ($4.00) and publisher's code (11/57) on the front flap. A near Fine copy, and a very good dust jacket. A collection of 12 short stories, by the author of Out of Africa, which, when published, comprised Dinesen's first book in 17 years. Previous owner's name written across the front end paper with the date of 6/28/58. Foxing of end papers. Binding extraordinarily tight and clean, no internal marks or damage.
