A few pages have light smudges, otherwise a very clean tight book, although the top corner of the spine and front board have an abrasion that has lead to a two inch crack at the front hinge (not all the way through and still very tight). We're not certain, but it smells like it might have been near a campfire? A rare and beautiful book, and if you read Dutch, you are really in luck.
