Ochre coloured boards with line drawing of Lear to bottom right hand corner, titles in black to spine, no dust jacket, 24pp of introduction and notes, followed by Lear's cartoons and captions drawn during a trip to Sicily Lear made in 1847, colour frontispiece, errata slip between p6 and p7. Dedication in neat black pen to ffep, some foxing to first few pages, but drawings are clean and clear, edges darkened, offsetting to epps, corners are rubbed and head and tail of spine slightly bumped, a few light marks boards, otherwise a very good copy.
