Tall octavo, 406pp. Folding map present, though inserted after the Contents. There are (apparently) three folding charts called for, and they appear to all be present here, though it appears that the binder rather lazily kept two of the plates, which had been printed on the same sheet, together, thus creating one very long folding chart (if this is unclear, we will endeavor to explain). There does not seem to be any missing content. Front board and front free endpaper detached, but present. Folding map bears some old repair work, and was re-inserted into the book upside-down. Leather dry, and corners worn. The internal contents are clean, crisp, and bright. A serviceable reading copy in a contemporary binding, which could benefit from some inexpensive structural repair work. In good condition overall.
