To which are prefix'd, Memoirs of his Life and Family. Written by himself. And Published by his Daughter, Mrs. Medalle. In Three Volumes. Vol I (II, III). London: Printed for T. Becket, the Corner of the Adelphi, in the Strand, 1775. Three volumes. The volumes are paginated as follows: Vol 1: xx, 176pp. Vol 2: 192pp. vol 3: 180pp Complete. First Edition. With the Portrait. Comprises 117 letters, including two from correspondents of Sterne. Letter 58 maybe a forgery. The three volumes bound in the publisher's blue-grey paper wraps. Edges uncut. Covers still attached with volume one front cover attached with a strip of Japanese rice paper. Spines on volumes worn away except for volume two. Minor tears and folds to the edges of the uncut pages. Some minor staining here and there. The three volumes housed in a 20th C. red cloth clamshell case, still in very good condition, but with some fading to the cloth. The case measures 18.5 x 12.5 x 5.5 cm.
