Uncommon biography of Davis and history of his confderacy, This copy with boards almost detached, leather split along the joints and with some skinning and rubbing along the edges. Text block snug and clean; pages bright with no foxing. Prior ownership penned to front endpage. Frontis engraved portrait of Davis. Could be imroved with an inexpensive rebacking restoration.
