hardback, 12mo, straight-grained morocco binding, gilt title on red to spine, raised bands to spine ruled gilt with compartments blocked blind in a repeat pattern, gilt scroll edges to the boards. One gathering slightly misbound but secure, damp stain to the pastedowns, margin of the last few leaves, portrait, title and through to the preface, thus good only. The front free endpaper is partly loose and partly adhered to the pastedown.
