Attractive old full mottled sheep, a binding style known as "Spanish calf". Smooth backs in five gilt roll tooled compartments, gilt black sheep lettering pieces in the second, gilt volume numbers in the fourth, gilt square center ornaments in the rest, gilt roll tooled borders on the sides, all edges yellow. Near fine with strong joints, very light wear and rubbing to edges and extremities, corners lightly bumped with slight wear. Some minor past action to sheets near the ends, crease and small perforation in one free endpaper, old sepia ink name on front free endpaper, title and first page of the text of each volume, sheets with occasional light foxing, unmarked, complete.
