There is a chip to one of the spine labels of Volume II. There are some light markings to the boards, with a notable mark to the front board of Volume III. Prior owner's book plate to the first pastedown of each volume. Prior owner's ink inscription to the first free endpaper of Volume III dated 1862. Small library stamp to the bottom right corner of the first free endpapers of each volume.Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some occasional light spotting. Good.
