Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Plum Lick Publishing, North Middletown, KY. 2008. Hardcover. Stated First Edition. Flat signed by the author on the title page. Book is tight, square, and unmarked. Book Condition: Near Fine; several bent pages on textblock top from other book striking. DJ: Near Fine; slight edge bumping. Black cloth boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on spine and front board. 314 pp 8vo. Most of today's rural Kentuckians take electric power for granted. But in the 1930s much of rural Kentucky lay in darkness as soon as the sun set while the city dwellers had electric lights as power providers saw rural areas as unprofitable. This is the story of how the REA (Rural Electrification Administration) created electric cooperatives and brought light to rural Kentucky. A clean very presentable copy. Signed by Author(s).
