Nice copy of the First Edition (1939) in the original 1939 dust jacket of the 3rd book in the radio era series of Lone Ranger novels for young adult readers. The Grosset and Dunlap series of Lone Ranger novels was a spin-off of the wildly successful radio serial adventure featuring the masked do-gooder, horse Silver and iconic side-kick Tonto launched in the early 1930s. The original 1939 edition is distinguished by brown cloth with stamped red titles and illustrations. The original 1939 dust jacket has a 50/50 price on the front flap. The front flap features a description of this title, the back flap features a description and listing of 'Western Stories for Boys" by James Cody Ferris and the back cover features a list of "Spotlight Books for Boys!" that lists "The Lone Ranger and the Gold Robbery," the two earlier Lone Ranger titles and then 10 non-Lone Ranger titles." The book has minimal sign of previous use but has foxing on the endpapers and title page and tanning of the page edges.
