The plot involves a couple on vacation along the Welsh coast, where they discover a frail old woman named Gwendolyn who's living alone, and who remarkably claims to be a long lost relative of theirs. She returns with them, and later she makes cakes for guests at a barbeque meant to introduce her to their friends and family. Soon afterward, everyone who ate the cakes begins to act in bizarre ways, and their lives begin to unravel. All the while, the old woman seems to grow more vibrant.
