Presumed later printing [the publisher's monogram appears on the title page rather than on the copyright page] although possibly a first edition. The author "chooses for scene the deck of a windjammer, a small boat adrift in a welter of sun-blazing blue ocean, the thunder of the roaring forties, and the vast mysterious tropic sky. Never has Mr. Comfort written a novel in which is heard so clearly the sea, man's call to woman's love, and the song of the adventurer, going on day after day to the wonder of new horizons".
