The text of this volume is in Latin with an introduction and index in English. There is a spine lean and the boards have some rubbing to the corners with a little fraying to the bottom corners. Light surface discolouration to the rear panel but the boards are otherwise unmarked with bright gilt lettering on the spine and the front panel. There is some browning to the page edges. The front free endpaper has the bookplate of Anthony Edwards, Life Fellow of Gonville & Caius College and retired Professor of Biometry at the University of Cambridge. He has also written his name in ink with a date at the top of the front free endpaper. This book was part of his collection of Cambridge books which was a reflection of his keen and active interest in the governance of the Collegiate University. Browning to the endpapers with a cutting relating to the Cambridge Antiquarian Society stuck to the rear pastedown. There is an earlier owner's bookplate to the reverse of the title page. The pages are a little browned but are generally clean and unmarked. No jacket. First printing. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 019671
