First edition, stated, of this wonderful and sometimes tragic travelogue through 34 states by bus during the Depression. Issued as part of Borzoi Books "Around the World" series. Winn (1888-1965) was a noted reporter and editor for the New York Herald Tribune's magazine section, and also wrote Adam's Rib, an early feminist work promoting employment for women, and advocating independence, and education for women.
