Written by H. J. Kaeser who was a German Jewish author, many of whose books have been translated into English and published by OUP. Mimff 'chose to stay by himself on a desert island and live like Robinson Crusoe. But somehow it didn't quite work out as he had planned'. Dust jacket is worn faded with pieces missing. Some light marks on the cloth, however the binding is solid and clean with just some light spotting on title page. Size 22 x15cm (8.5 x 5.75 inches) Provenance: Andrew Murray, Director of Mayor Gallery, Cork Street, London. The Mayor Gallery exhibited Ardizzone's work in the 1960's .
