The Committee met held 8 meetings between May 1912 and August 1917, subcommittees on Civic Status of the Negro, Economics, Economic Condition of the Negroes of Knoxville reports of which are included in an Appendix, along with 'An Open Letter on Lynching' to the Stuttgart (Ark.) Committee and 'Open Letters to the College Men of the South'. No place or date of publication is given but date stamp to front suggests 1918, though later 1917 a possibility. No publication data at all is given in fact, so assume publisher was the Commission itself. A scarce and very interesting document for historians of U.S. race-relations and Black history.
